JOIN THE CREW of SPACE MISSION.CH by swiss aerospace cluster on their way to the United States in 2023 to visit Space companies and generate business opportunities. This fact-finding mission will include various company visits and networking slots in the Space hotspots in Alabama and Florida, including business support by the Swiss export promotion agency and local destination promotion agencies.

Special Highlight:

Opportunity to experience a rocket launch LIVE / ON SITE (subject to change):

  • SpaceX Falcon 9
  • ULA Atlas V
  • We will travel to Alabama and Florida to learn about the latest developments in the New Space Economy in the US and to explore possible business collaborations.
  • Florida has more than 1’600 aerospace-related companies, more than 150’000 aerospace-related employees and a highly diversified aerospace industry with rocket launching and landing at the Cape Canaveral Spaceport. Florida is a hub for the growing commercial space industry, with current and planned major operations for path-breaking companies such as SpaceX, Blue Origin and OneWeb Satellites.
  • Huntsville is home to a Blue Origin engine production facility, Aerojet Rocketdyne’s rocket propulsion manufacturing facility and Dynetics work on NASA, U.S. military and commercial space programs. NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center manages the Space Launch System and coordinates International Space Station experiments from Huntsville. Local employees also develop space station environmental support systems, manufacture space modules and perform space-based research.
  • We work closely with SpaceFlorida (spaceflorifa.gov) and the Alabama Department of Commerce (madeinalabama.com) regarding the program of our trip. Whenever possible, hotels are chosen to be in an attractive location (e.g., at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Alabama or the Kennedy Space Center in Florida). The rooftop terrace of the hotel at Kennedy Space is an excellent location for launch viewing.
  • The trip is organized in that way, that we can learn about current developments in the Space Economy in Florida and Alabama and to communicate our fields of work, expertise and business into the respective networks. For this purpose, we will prepare a brief dossier on our delegation (introducing your company/institution) and the SAC (we will contact them later for this purpose).
